1. Who we are

2. What the app does with your data

• Your books stay on your device. Book files you import, reading positions, notes and highlights are stored locally on your device. We cannot access them.
• Offline translation. On-device translation models process text locally; that text never leaves your device.
• Cloud translation (optional). If you enable cloud-assisted translation, selected text excerpts are sent to our translation service (third-party model providers, e.g. Zhipu GLM) to generate a translation, then deleted. Those providers may process the text in their own regions (e.g. China for Zhipu / bigmodel.cn). We do not use this content for advertising or build profiles from it. 3. What the site collects

The site is static. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. We do not set marketing cookies. [CONFIRM AFTER DEPLOY CONFIG.]

4. Permissions the app requests

• Storage / file access — only to open book files you choose.
• Internet — only for optional cloud translation features and app updates.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR in the EU/EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data. Because nearly all app data stays on your device, deleting the app deletes it. For anything else, contact [PRIVACY EMAIL].

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
